LeVar Burton
LeVar Burton is an American actor, director, author, and educator known for his influential work in television, film, and literacy advocacy. He first gained widespread recognition for his role as Kunta Kinte in the groundbreaking 1977 miniseries Roots, which portrayed the harrowing history of American slavery. This role earned Burton critical acclaim and launched his career.
